Evan Myles

Manual Osteopath/Co-Owner

Originally from Paradise, Newfoundland, Evan's life has revolved around participation in sport. Seeking to form a career out of his love for sport and exercise, Evan enrolled at Memorial University in 2015, graduating with an Honours degree in Physical Education. Deciding that he wanted to make a career out of helping others, Evan then went on to study Manual Osteopathy at the National Academy of Osteopathy in North York, Ontario, graduating in 2020.

After receiving osteopathic treatment for chronic hip pain that developed as a result of repetitive soccer injuries, Evan gained an interest in how the body responds to both acute and chronic stress. He believes that all people have the capacity to lead healthy lives and that through a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, people can help manage the “wear and tear” effects that years of work or participation in sport can have on the muscles and joints in the body.

Heavily involved in the soccer community, Evan has spent 8 years coaching youth soccer in Paradise and is currently the head coach of Paradise Soccer Club’s U12 All-Star team. As a player, Evan played four years of soccer with Memorial University’s varsity team and currently plays in the local Challenge Cup soccer league with Paradise. In addition to soccer, Evan plays recreational basketball in a local city league.  Through his experience in both high-level and recreational sport, Evan understands what athletes have to go through in order to achieve success. Currently completing his education in Sports Nutrition, Evan hopes to educate athletes in Newfoundland and Labrador on the importance of nutrition in athletic performance. In the future, he hopes to complete a Master’s degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

Whether you’re recovering from injury, need help managing the physical demands of work, or just looking to improve your quality of life, Evan will do everything he can to help you achieve optimal health!
